Welcome to Pilsner Presents ‘Film for a Fiver’. Hosted Thursday nights* at The Thatchers Arms, Mount Bures.
Our film nights will showcase current box office hits as well as delving back into cinema history for some of those classic films that need to be watched on the big screen. The evening is intended to be a unique experience in a far more relaxed environment than the big cinema’s.
Our cabaret theatre style seating means you have a table to put your drinks or food on. Our menu is simple finger food cooked using the same fresh local ingredients that we use in the pub. We do not offer noisy popcorn or rustling crisp packets during performances. You can order food in advance and enjoy it from the start of the film (7:30pm) or you can order it when you arrive and it will be served at the end of the interval (yes, all films will have an interval!). Alder Tree Ice Creams will be available to purchase during the interval too.
You are welcome to take drinks through from the bar, although there is a Pilsner Urquell bar in the auditorium for your convenience, you can order your pint of Pilsner Urquell at any point during a film by simply raising your hand.
